Commission: The artists' brief was to create a younger children's play area which did not involve play equipment [1] The idea of animals came from local residents involved with the development of the Phoenix Park. The metal animals were carved in polystyrene by the artists and then cast in iron by H. Downs & Sons Ltd Iron Founders of Huddersfield. Project overseen by Groundworks; project manager Laura McBride.

Comment: This area is designated as the Children's Area in the Park.
