Description: Wooden animals.
Two sheep and a pig eating from an upturned trough. The pig is signed: Jason Thomson 2001. All the animals are arranged on the grass in groups according to their species. They can also act as seating, or play objects, for children. They are naturalistic, but stylised, with considerable attention given to surface details.

Commission: The artists' brief was to create a younger children's play area which did not involve play equipment [1] The idea of animals came from local residents involved with the development of the Phoenix Park.
Project overseen by Groundworks.

Comment: This area is designated as the Children's Area in the Park.
