Description: Above the main entrance is a panel showing a groups of students and staff. Male and female students are showing studying architecture, painting and sculpture to the left. On the right hand side male students are studying engineering and technology skills. Between them is a fountain issuing water into a basin beneath which two cherubs sit reading large books. A stylised sunflower is carved on the blocks of stone to either side of the panel.
At street level on either side of the gate posts are carved the words:
'ROTHERHAM COLLEGE OF' and 'TECHNOLOGY AND ARTS'
The doors have two large metal door knockers in the shape of lion's heads.

Comment: The building was originally called the Rotherham College of Technology and Arts.
