Commission: Part of a regeneration project in Swinton. The commission was managed by Groundworks Dearne Valley; project manager: Richard Brown. Funding came from WREN for all three sculptures. The wood was recycled from the old lock gates at Swinton Lock; the limestone came from Cadeby, a local quarry. It was felt that it was important that all materials used should have local origins.
