Millennium Canteen

Martyn Pugh - Fish Knife and Fork

The inspiration for this design is based on the idea that eating fish is a delicate process. Fish is a more dissected than carved, and for this process the cutlery is constructed to be used as a precision tool with a pen grip.
The pieces are made in sterling silver and decorated with black resin. The blade and shaft are forged separately and bonded into the textured grip. The grip is constructed from folded sheet silver, but its form is ideal for casting.
The pleasure of using these well balanced and efficient tools add to the ceremony of the meal.
Size: 22 cm
