A cross-shaped sculpture to 'house'
a poem by Carol Ann Duffy. The mild steel cross encloses a cast bronze surface
facing the river. This is composed of the hand-written poem surrounded by
grasses and pieces of cutlery and tools with relevance to Sheffield industries.
There is a small child's hand cast in glass visible on both faces of the
Percent for Art Project for the River Don Bridge, in association with
Planning, Transport and Highways, Sheffield City Council.
