Detail

The case is designed
to both store and provide a means of displaying the canteen. The curved
trays (which can be removed and mounted for display) are strung with fishing-line
and the cutlery is held by weaving it in and out. The cabinet uses colour
to identify the various functions of the elements and texture to emphasise
the nature of the different materials.
Materials: oak, sycamore, stainless-steel and fishing-line; the curved
construction is laminated from 1.5mm aircraft ply and dyed oak and sycamore
veneers.
