| Location: Off junction 25 of the M6. Description: Side view of sculpture. Three figures; two supporting an arch on which the third figure appears to swing. Commission: Wigan Borough Council. This sculpture is part of the council's Transport Corridors Programme and also of the Ince Economic Development Zone. Funding from North West Regional Development Agency and the European Regional Development Fund and also from local company Totesport. Comment: A Gateway Sculpture. The Council website describes the firgures as "representing the strength and optimism of the borough." | ||
