|Description: Art Deco influenced decorative carving around the 3.5m high entrance archway. A winged cherub's head on a scroll appears on the keystone above the entrance. Further carving decorates the ?chimney above the central space of the building.
Commission: The Library was funded by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation. The foundation stone to the left of the entrance records details of this.
