Location: On a triangular area of grass on the main road through the village, Doncaster Road (A635), where it meets Castle Hill Lane.

Description: The figure of crucified Christ painted white with abrown loincloth, hair and beard. The figure is protected by a wooden roof and attached to a post set on a sandstone pedestal.

Inscription: On the front face of the pedestal: IN REMEMBRANCE / OF THOSE WHO ENLISTED FROM THIS PLACE MOST OF WHOM / WENT OVERSEAS TO / FIGHT FOR THEIR KING AND COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR OF 1914 - 1918 / (44 names - next to 5 of these is the word: KILLED)
A second inscription on the base of the plinth is badly worn and hence unreadable
