Firth Park Gates, 1999
Firth Park
metal

Location:
The roundabout at the junction of Firth Park Road and Stubbin Lane (B6086) with Bellhouse Road and Hucklow Road (A-Z p75 H6)

Description:
Two pairs of gates at either side of the roundabout, between which runs a cutting with replica tramlines on it. Each pair of gates has the words "FIRTH PARK" on them; they are made up of elements that remind the viewer of small tram-parts like springs and brackets

Commission:
Sheffield City Council

Comment:
The roundabout was rebuilt not long after the gates were installed, but they are now back in place.
