Location:
Entrance gates/pillars, at the lower entrance to Weston Park from Western Bank. (A-Z p98 2B/C)

Description:
Four terracotta pillars were made by Hugh Gamble, of the Sheffield School of Art, and composed from models executed by Godfrey Sykes at South Kensington. They are constructed in sections, each one of which bears small-scale figures and other decorative motifs.
The gates were designed by E.M.Gibbs.

Commission:
Sheffield Town Council

Comment:
The central cast iron gates were stolen in 1994. They have not yet been replaced.
