Description:
Bench carved from a tree trunk resting on its side. The carving depicts
many creatures from the natural world including; a spider, ladybird, bat,
owl, butterfly, flower, large fish, worm, and a squirrel. The Bench is
set in an enclosed children's play area and was carved by local children
under the artist's supervision.
This Playground is surrounded by a metal fence, painted blue, which incorporates
cut out animal images designed by David Mayne

Inscription:
This is on a metal plaque fixed to one end of the bench and reads:
