Location:
The relief occurs more than once in the facades above the entrance to the Midland Station. (A-Z p.5 5G)

Description:
A relief carving of a winged dragon set within a recessed circle.

Commission:
The Midland Railway Company. The wyvern was the emblem of the company.

Comment:
These have been cleaned during the 2004-2007 refurbishment and redevelopment of the station and, as a result, have become more visible.
