Location:
Central reservation of High Street, just at the bottom of Fargate. (A-Z p5 3E)

Description:
Two interlocking wheatsheaves are situated either side of a pedestrian crossing in the central reservation. They stand about 1 metre high . The central reservation separates the tramlines from the road.

Commission:
Sheffield City Council. Funding from various sources.

Comment:
The pieces are both functional and decorative. There is a direct link in subject matter with the motifs on Yarwood’s benches at the top end of Fargate some 100 metres away.
