|Description: The edge piece of railing contains two halves. The tall thin piece contains 5 cogwheels and the letter "v". The squarer piece contains a clock face with Roman numerals at the quarter hour, a smaller cogwheel, a fragment of a much larger wheel, and the letter "x". The hands of the clocks are painted gold and point to different times; the rest of the railing is painted black.
Commission: not known
Comment: There is presumably a link between the clock motif and the nearby Hastings Clock.
